The Harris Family: May 2011

I feel like I have totally neglected the blog for the past couple months, things have been busy around here! Blayne is now 8 months old, we cannot believe she is now closer to being a year old than she is from birth! She is growing and changing so much every day and it is so much fun...but also some challenges! :) She is sitting up on her own, rolling everywhere, close to getting the crawling thing figured out which is exciting but scary to think of how busy she will be when she gets moving! She got her first tooth popping through on her 8 month birthday, which might explain the fussiness and lack of wanting to nap lately! She is such a fun and happy baby though, we are so lucky! She is really loving food and I have been making her lots of homemade things to try :) finally bulking her up a bit...a whopping 15 lbs now! :) We have had some playdates which has been fun, we have a couple friends that have baby girls around the same age as Blayne & my sister is close to us down here so we spend a lot of time with her and her two kids.

Ryan has been on a couple trips for work in the past couple months, Minnesota where there company's headquarters is and to Indianapolis for a customer show. Blayne and I hate when he is gone :( but luckily he isn't gone much! Just mommy and daddy have our first short trip away planned in June for our 4 year anniversary, going to Vegas! We are really looking forward to it, but I am already sad to leave Blayne! We have had a busy past couple of months which included a trip up to Spokane, it was so nice to spend time with everyone and it was Peytton's birthday! We have been up to Enumclaw a few times too for birthday party's (Blayne's best buddy Ellie turned 1!), Easter, and just to visit the Campbell side of the fam :) We also welcomed a new member to the family...my sister and brother in law welcomed a baby girl on March 18th! Colbie Makay now joins big brother Cade! I also had a great first Mother's Day, Ryan & Blayne got me a beautiful Tiffany charm bracelet and we had a fun family lunch together! :)

So much to catch up on...I will try not to wait so long to make the next post!
